We at Paragon Global Resources and our subsidiaries and affiliates (referred to as “Paragon, “we,” “us,” or “our”) recognize the importance of protecting the privacy of personal and/or sensitive information (“Information”) collected about our clients' employees who become our customers, prospective customers, or are registered members of our affinity division (all referred to as “Customers”). At Paragon, it is our intention to give you an understanding about how we collect Customer Information and the use we make of it in the course of our business both on line and off line.  

Information We Collect and the Reason We Collect it
Paragon may require a variety of Information. This need is solely for the purpose of offering relocation services and benefits to our Customers. This information may include items such as: addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, social security numbers, marital status, homeownership, value of home, annual salary, banking instructions or other Information needed to supply or expedite benefits or services. While most of the Information collected by Paragon is supplied by our clients, we may at times ask you, your employer or our suppliers to update or confirm Information already received or to provide additional Information. Your information may be shared with third party suppliers (e.g. home inspectors, moving companies, etc.) where necessary to support the services we deliver. Paragon will only share your Information with third parties who are either Safe Harbor compliant or who have a written agreement with Paragon stating they subscribe to the same level of privacy standards and principles as Paragon, and will only share information necessary for the service being performed.

You have the right to see all the Information we hold on you. Should you wish to have access to all or a particular portion of your Information, or if you discover any changes that are required or any inaccuracies that need to be resolved, please contact your Paragon Relocation Consultant by email. Paragon will see to your request or make the change(s) required as quickly as possible.  

You may deny (“opt-out”) the sharing of Information about you with third parties. Your option allowing or denying the Information to be shared may be changed at any time by informing privacy@paragongri.com in writing of the change. If you deny the sharing of your Information, Paragon will be unable to provide services to you and you will not be able to use the relocation web site known as PRISM.

How We Protect Your Information
The security of all Information associated with our Customers is of the utmost concern to us. We will only provide access to Information about you to those of our employees who require such access in order to carry out any necessary processing or procedures. Whether stored in computer systems, paper files, and other storage media or transmitted bet wee n your PC and our servers, we exercise reasonable care in providing data security. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Once we receive your transmission, Paragon uses industry standard efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your Information, such as firewalls and Secure Socket Layers. However, “perfect security” does not exist on the Internet.

In the event you cease to be a user of ours for any reason, we will maintain and disclose your Information consistent with the privacy policies and practices that apply to our current users.

We will provide access to Information on you only to those of our employees who need such access in order to carry out any necessary processes. We have taken appropriate steps regarding the security of Information, whether it is stored in computer systems, paper files or other storage media.

If we transfer your Information to agencies or third parties which have not self-certified with Safe Harbor, we require similar binding contractual undertakings, and we monitor compliance. Our partners have agreed to adopt equivalent measures.

Use of Cookies
What are cookies? “Cookies” are pieces of information that may be placed on your computer by a web site for the purposes of facilitation and enhancing your communications and interaction with that web site. Cookies make web-surfing easier by saving your preferences while you are at the site. The use of cookies is an industry standard, and as such, you'll find them at most major web sites.

Paragon uses cookies to maintain session information and to enhance the speed of this web site by reducing the number of times you retrieve similar information. If cookies are disabled on your computer you will not be able to access the Paragon PRISM web site.

Paragon never stores personally identifiable Information (such as credit cards, passwords or social security numbers) in cookies. Information obtained and shared with you through the PRISM web site is confidential unless the context expressly indicates otherwise. Information may be requested or collected to enable or enhance the delivery of services to you, and to make the experience of using PRISM faster and more effective.

What Happens When You Link to a Third-Party Site?
Paragon's web site contains links to third-party web sites. If a user “clicks” on an external line the “click” may transfer the user off the Paragon site. These other sites may include sites of partners that may use Paragon and/or affiliates' logo as part of a co-branding agreement. These other sites may send their own cookies to users, to collect data or to solicit Information.

Such linked sites are not under the control of Paragon, and we are not responsible for the terms of use, policies or contents of any linked site, or any link contained in a linked site. Paragon has provided these links as a convenience.

Paragon's and/or its affiliates' inclusion of links to these sites does not imply any endorsement of the material on such sites or any association with their operators. Paragon's policy does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the Internet, which is beyond Paragon's and its affiliates' control. We urge you to review the terms of use and privacy policy of any linked site before sharing any personally identifiable Information with them. Please keep in mind that whenever you give out information on line (for example, via message boards or chat) that the information can be collected and used by people you don't know. While Paragon and its affiliates strive to protect our Customers' Information and privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online, and such information is disclosed at your own risk.

How to Control Usage of Your Information
In case some Information about you changes (such as zip code or e-mail address) we will provide a way for you to correct, update or remove the Information that you give us. We also will give you the opportunity to control the communications we direct at you. We offer you the opportunity to “opt out” of having Information shared with parties outside of Paragon and/or its affiliates companies. Please understand that if you opt out of having Information shared, we will be unable to provide our services to you. If you wish to update Information please contact your Paragon Relocation Consultant.

Usage Tracking
When you enter Paragon's web site, we collect your IP (internet protocol) address for the purpose of system administration, to report traffic patterns through the site and to audit the use of our site. The IP address identifies your service provider, but does not identify you as an individual. When a user requests a page on this site, our servers log the request, the IP address of the user, and their browser type. We do not ordinarily link IP addresses with anything personally identifiable.

We can and will use IP addresses to identify a user when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with the terms of use, terms of service or to protect our service, site, clients, Customers or others. 

If you leave our site following links to our preferred alliance partners and suppliers, your destination may be logged for reporting purposes in accordance with agreements we may have with our clients and/or our suppliers.

If you receive an error message while using the site some Information about you may be logged to allow us to provide better service in resolving the issue.

Compliance with Safe Harbor Principles
With respect to Information collected regarding our Customers residing in European Union member countries, and to insure the privacy of all our Customers regardless of point of departure or destination, Paragon has filed Safe Harbor self-certification with the US Department of Commerce. Our Privacy Policy is compliant with the Safe Harbor Principles.

Fair and Lawful Information Handling
We will process all the Information we collect and hold on you and in accordance with the applicable law. We will ensure the quality of your information and we will fully respect your rights, interests and fundamental freedoms with regard to your Information.

Legitimate Purposes
We will only collect, record, process and store Information which is needed to fulfill our contractual obligations towards our clients, Customers and partners that serves legitimate business or to comply with legal requirements. We may disclose to any other Paragon companies, and/or to third parties authorized by us, Information that may be necessary to provide you with products and/or services you may require or request.

Data Quality
We will employ effective procedures and safeguards to ensure that the Information we hold on you is adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which it was obtained, as well as accurate and up-to-date. Where we become aware of any inaccuracies in the Information we hold, we will correct and where appropriate, delete incorrect Information. Retention periods are in place to ensure that Information is only stored while it is required for the purposes in question or to meet legal and regulatory requirements. When information is no longer required, we will ensure that it is disposed of in a secure manner.

Information to You
When we collect Information from you, we will identify ourselves and inform you of the purpose(s) for which we collect the Information. If we are collecting Information for one of our other Paragon companies or partners, we will identify that company or partner and explain the purpose of collecting the Information. If your personal Information has been obtained by someone other than you, we will inform you of this as soon as practicable after we have entered the Information in our files or computers (unless you were already aware of the fact).

Special Restrictions on the Use of Sensitive Information
We will not normally seek Information on your racial or ethnic origins, political opinions, religious or other beliefs, trade-union memberships (unless trade-union membership is required solely by our affinity business clients), physical or mental health, sex life or criminal convictions. If we determine a need to collect such Information, it will be limited to Information which is: needed for legal proceedings as required to be kept by law or to establish, exercise or define legal rights (including protection against fraud) clearly and strictly necessary to fulfill a contract bet wee n you and us (or bet wee n you and a company we represent) or needed to protect your vital interests or the vital interests or another person (for instance, if a medical condition necessitates special conditions required for travel, lodging, permanent housing, etc).

Your Rights
You have the right to require us or our partners to cease the communication of advertising or marketing material to you and we will ensure that your request is complied with. This includes the right to withdraw your consent to third party direct marketing use of your Information at any time.

You have the right to see all the Information we hold on you. If you wish to have access to all or any particular part of your information, please contact your Paragon Relocation Consultant. The Information will be forwarded to you within an appropriate period of time in accordance with national legislation, but in any event no more that 40 days from the date of such request for access. Where any discrepancies are discovered following your inquiry, we will take immediate steps to validate and where appropriate correct our records. We will in form you of any actions taken in writing within an appropriate period of time in accordance with national legislation, but in any event no more that 40 days after receiving your request to amend our records.
